Allison's Fundraising Page
“This is my wife, Allison.”
In September 2017 that statement still made my head turn and grin. “Oh yeah … Allison Jochetz … yep, that’s my new name” I would think. In a span of days “I’m Allison Jochetz, John’s wife,” became one of the proudest statements of my life. It’s the way John and I started every conversation with John's care team at M.D. Anderson during his initial hospitalization. While the entire city of Houston rallied together in response to the devastation and flooding from Hurricane Harvey, our small….or as I came to learn BIG…circle rallied around John at 1515 Holcombe Blvd as he started the fight for his life and new status quo of life without vision.
I am honored to walk beside my husband in Run for the Rose this year. He inspires me daily and is a constant reminder to never ever give up despite insurmountable adversity.
