2020 Run for the Rose

All UTHealth students, faculty, staff, alumni & friends are invited to join our team!

Run for the Rose was created in memory of Dr. Marnie Rose, a graduate of McGovern Medical School and a second-year UTHealth resident, who died of brain cancer at age 28.

Support for the Dr. Marnie Rose Foundation has enabled the foundation to give more than $6.5 million since 2003. They have funded a number of promising adult brain cancer research initiatives at UT MD Anderson Cancer Center. In addition, the Foundation’s support helped create and expand the pediatric palliative care program at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital.

The Foundation also established the Dr. Marnie Rose Professorship in Pediatric Neurosurgery in McGovern Medical School—an enduring testament to Marnie's legacy at UTHealth.

We look forward to having you join the UTHealth team!
