OUR POWERFUL PEOPLE
The Dr. Marnie Rose Foundation celebrates the lives and legacies of those who are battling or have battled brain cancer. Brain tumor and brain cancer patients (also known as "Powerful People" or "Heroes") receive complimentary registration to Brain Power 5K. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for your special discount code.
SURVIVOR STRIDE & GROUP PHOTO
We honor survivors each year in the Survivor Stride. All brain tumor survivors should meet at the AmeriBrain (inflatable true-to-life brain) in the post-race party area at 8:05 a.m. for a group photo. Immediately following the photos, walk directly to the Start Line (listen for music and look for crowd) to line up for the Survivor Stride, which will start at 8:15 a.m. There will be a volunteer at the Start Line with a large SURVIVOR STRIDE BANNER to guide you to the start of the Survivor Stride as well. Also, pick up your survivor gift from the awards table at the post-race party.
SHARE YOUR STORY & PICTURE
Honoring or memorializing a family member or friend is a thoughtful way to recognize his or her cancer journey and life-affirming memories. If you are a brain tumor survivor or have a loved one who has faced this diagnosis, please contact email@example.com with the person's name, a high resolution picture (minimum 300 dpi jpeg) along with a story/bio of the person. We are proud to share their personal stories. Submit by September 1, so that we are able to properly honor your loved one on race day, September 8, at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park.
GRATEFUL FAMILIES & PATIENTS
Grateful families of patients often ask what they can do to thank their doctors. Creating a team for Brain Power 5K takes very little effort yet brings such positive rewards to everyone involved. Brain Power 5K welcomes the support of Neuro-Oncology programs at all hospitals. The Dr. Marnie Rose Foundation will return to each hospital the total funds raised by its patients. The Run offers all brain cancer patients and their families a place to meet and a venue where they can do something meaningful for themselves and their own doctors.
